Virtual cultural contests promote student creativity


The National Directorate of Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education (Meduca), announced the different cultural competitions that will be held virtually in the coming months for students from private and official schools.

The contests will be: Photography Contest with the theme What do I admire from my home !, which will have a selection date by area, region and national from May 1 to July 10 and the awards will be held on August 19 for being the Day World of Photography.

With the theme 'Proud of our roots', the Student Clothing festival will be held, which will select the participants from June 1 to July 30 and the winners will be awarded on August 22, World Folklore Day.

There will also be the first storytelling tournament: 'The stories of my grandparents', from July 1 to September 7, the winners of the different areas will be chosen and the awards will be from September 22 to 29 in Commemoration of the Week from the book.

The virtual dramatization competition, whose theme is ‘Outstanding characters of our Bicentennial’, from August 2 to October 30, will select those selected to award them on November 28, which is celebrated the Bicentennial of the Republic.

The participants of these contests will be of primary, pre-secondary and secondary level of private and official schools. While those of secondary education of public and private educational establishments may be in the Student Essay contest and write on the topic 'The role of youth in the Bicentennial of the Republic yesterday, today and tomorrow' and, from August 1 to October 12, the finalists will be selected and the awards will be on November 28.
