Government cancels, in 10 months, expired terms to doctors and health technicians. Wednesday, December 30, 2020

The current administration has paid more than B / .105 million to medical personnel and health technicians, including expired salary periods prior to July 1, 2019, as well as the payment of extra shifts due to Covid-19.
December 30, 2020. The administration of President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen has canceled debts to doctors and technicians of the health sector, in 10 months of this year, which had been stopped paying these officials by the two previous government administrations, corresponding to salaries , biennial reclassification, master's degrees and others, and it has also met the payment of B / .20 million for extra shifts due to Covid-19.

Reports provided by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reveal that in 2020 the National Government has paid, during the pandemic, a total of B / .105,029,081.70 to doctors and technicians in the health sector, an amount that includes the cancellation of debts that they left pending the two previous governments, as well as payments for shifts and extra shifts between March and November for Covid-19.

The report details that, between January and November 2020, the current administration has paid expired terms, before July 1, 2019, to doctors and health technicians for B / .24,996,322.00. This last figure is broken down as follows: B / .12,962,467.00 in expired terms of salary of 2019 and expired terms of biennial reclassification, master's degrees and others; in addition B / .6,439,816.00 in changes of categories to 3,936 employees in 2019; also B / .3,804,657.00 in biennial bonuses from 2009 to 2019 and B / .1,789,382.00 in bonuses to 1,141 employees for medical specialties, also pending since 2019.

 

In payment of shifts to medical personnel and health technicians, the present administration has disbursed B / .60,032,760.00; and in payments of extra shifts by Covid-19, another B / .20 million, highlights the Minsa report.

The National Government reiterates its commitment to recognize the extraordinary work and effort of health personnel, particularly during the months of the Covid-19 pandemic.
