MINSA and CSS reach agreements with clinical laboratory workers


Consensus was reached to make retroactive payments and cancellation of extra shifts effective.
Tomorrow, Monday, CONALAC will hold an assembly to present the agreements.

Sunday, May 23, 2021. The Ministry of Health (MINSA) and the Social Security Fund (CSS) arrived this Sunday afternoon to reach an agreement with the clinical laboratory workers gathered at the National College of Clinical Laboratory Workers (CONALAC).

For his part, the Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre, stated at the end of the meeting, that it was possible to reach agreements to make effective the retroactive payment, the cancellation of extra shifts, expired terms, recognition of academic degrees, permanent appointments, exclude them as jury of consciences, high risk payment and contests for heads.

"This administration has been responsibly seeking the resources to pay for the expired terms gradually dating from 2016," said the Minister of Health.

Sucre added that the members of CONALAC will have to hold an assembly tomorrow, Monday, with their members, in order to then expose and agree on the agreements reached and that this is endorsed by the assembly of this union.

"They want the payment to be included in the salary, we have agreed that for them the most convenient thing was that we make the payments as on salaries and that from the next year this will be included in the salary as they have requested," he said. Sucre.

Present at the meeting were the representatives of CONALAC, the vice minister of the branch Ivette Berrío, the Secretary General of MINSA José Baruco and other directors and advisers of the entity.
