MINSA and MIDA move forward to export meat to the United States


The Vice Minister of Health, Ivette Berrío, together with the National Director of Food Control and Veterinary Surveillance, Reynaldo Lee Mathurin and the Director of Animal Health, Concepción Santos Sanjur, met with the Minister of Agricultural Development, Augusto Valderrama.

The meeting followed up on the joint actions carried out by both ministries in order to obtain approval to export Panamanian meat to the United States, evaluated where the shipments are currently and verify the status of the slaughter plants and The laboratory.

The parties reiterated their commitment to be in communication and follow up on the activities that lead to opening the Panamanian bovine market to the United States and obtaining the corresponding certification.
