Updating and professional development for teachers from June 7 to 11


For the week of school recess (from June 7 to 11) the National Directorate of Professional Training and Improvement (DNFPP), together with other offices and institutions, organized a series of trainings, seminars and diplomas aimed at strengthening the knowledge of teachers on a variety of topics.

Among the seminars that will be given in different regional offices of the country are: Strengthening the teaching of science in pre-media with active methodology and the use of virtuality, in Central Panama; Teaching-learning of geometry, statistics and algebra for primary school educators, which will be in Colón.

In addition, Development of an aquaculture management and production project, to be carried out with teachers from Panama Oeste; Climate change and its effects on agriculture. Also, swine activity based on low litter, both in the Coclé region.

On the other hand, the diploma course Hybrid education strategies, 21st century learning and applications in the classroom with Microsoft Teams (between May 24 and December 17 next) and the seminar Use and management of the Ester platform (which began on May 14 and ends on July 26).

These last two trainings are aimed at all educational regions. In this first round of courses and workshops, 34 groups made up of approximately 1,434 educators will participate.

The second school term begins on Monday, June 14 and ends on Friday, September 3, 2021. Meanwhile, the school break will be from September 6 to 10, which is why the Ministry of Education is working now, on a new day of trainings for teachers.

The third quarter will run from Monday, September 13 to Friday, December 17, and the balance and graduation period was established between December 20 and 30.
