CHANCELLERY AND CONEAUPA FORMALIZE AN IMPORTANT INTER-INSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Vice Minister Yill Otero, together with the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, in her capacity as president of the National Council for University Evaluation and Accreditation of Panama (Coneaupa), formalized the signing of the Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement, with the aim of expanding the dissemination of study and knowledge offers between both institutions.

“Today we formalized a cooperation agreement between the Foreign Ministry and Coneaupa. We thus highlight the government's commitment to strengthening higher education in the country. This agreement represents a strategic alliance to collaborate for the benefit of the Panamanian university community, promoting joint actions that contribute to their professional improvement,” said Vice Minister Otero.

During the signing, Vice Minister Otero and Minister Gorday de Villalobos also agreed to highlight the importance of education as key tools to achieve results from cooperation programs, through the potentialization of human development, the promotion of common interests and the optimization of cooperation actions between the Foreign Ministry and Coneaupa.

This signing of the Interinstitutional Cooperation Framework Agreement was accompanied by the deputy director of International Cooperation of the Foreign Ministry, Armonía Chang; the Scholarships and International Mobility advisor of the International Cooperation Directorate, Maruja Moreno; the analyst of the Scholarship Department, Gisela Diamantidis, and the executive secretary of Coneaupa, María del Carmen de Benavides.

Coneaupa seeks to permanently improve the quality and relevance, equity and modernization of the management of higher education institutions, to achieve better administrative efficiency and effectiveness, through the integration of official and private universities.
