CSS and Israel strengthen ties through friendly spaces in Ciudad de la Salud

On the outside of Ciudad de la Salud, a garden donated by the Embassy of Israel to the Government of Panama was built that highlights the ties of friendship between both countries.


Panama has become one of the first countries to recognize the independence of the State of Israel, highlighted Dr. Enrique Lau Cortés, general director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), during the activity commemorating the 76th anniversary of the independence of the State. State of Israel.

"For some years we have shared experiences, cultural exchanges and thanks to that collaboration, great achievements have been achieved for both nations," said Dr. Lau Cortés.

He thanked the people of Israel for their friendship, their interest in always wanting to help the growth of Panama and, above all, their support in the beautification of Ciudad de la Salud, as well as the academic link between these two countries.

"Today this contribution of a garden by Israel is a comfortable place where people can meditate and pray," mentioned the CSS general director.

For his part, the Israeli ambassador to Panama Itai Bardov highlighted that for this year they wanted to do something different alluding to his country's 76 years of independence.

For this purpose, a garden was built on the outside of Ciudad de la Salud that highlights the ties of friendship between these countries.

"With this Shalom garden we wanted to remember the victims of October 7, 2023," said the diplomat.

Special guests at this activity expressed their astonishment upon seeing the Ciudad de la Salud facilities, which they described as a health facility equipped with the latest technology.
