Rubella and Measles doses are still available during vaccination days

"Although most districts have passed the 80% mark, there are some parents who ask if their children can still receive the vaccine and the answer is yes, they only approach the vaccinating teams and if there are concerns they can ask questions," Marisela explained. The nurse stressed that these are not new vaccines "for many years we have been applying the doses that are in our schedule, we have extended the time to extend protection knowing that Panama is a transit country and although we have had no cases since 1995, our neighboring countries have presented," he said.

He also said that the pneumococcus vaccine, whose function is to provide protection against meningitis, has also been applied to the population for many years and is currently available, especially for the at-risk population such as children, older adults and immunosuppressed people.
