In five years, Humanitarian Hub provides aid to millions of people in Latin America

The Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH) sent more than seven thousand tons of humanitarian aid to the entire continent in the last 5 years.


The Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH) sent more than seven thousand tons of humanitarian aid to the entire continent in the last 5 years.

According to this department of the Ministry of Government (Mingob), in 2019, the so-called Humanitarian Hub handled some 603 tons valued at 4.0 million balboas; In 2020 it increased to 1,492 tons, estimated at 24.1 million balboas.

In 2021, the CLRAH helped mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters through 2,919 tons valued at 40 million balboas; The following year, the entity through its users handled some 1,579 tons for an amount of 27.5 million balboas.

In 2023, from the banks of the Panama Canal, some 779 tons of humanitarian assistance valued at 8.99 million balboas were sent and in the first 4 months of 2024, some 325.7 tons have been allocated at a cost of 1.36 million balboas.

Among what was sent, personal protective equipment, hygiene, cooking, cleaning, mosquito nets, plastic tarps and collapsible drums, among others, stand out.
