Chamber Group Festival promotes young people with musical talent

More than 30 activities, including concerts and workshops, will be part of the 2024 edition of the Chamber Group Music Festival, which will take place from June 13 to 30 and will have various stages in the capital city and the provinces of Chiriquí, Veraguas and Coclé.


More than 30 activities, including concerts and workshops, will be part of the 2024 edition of the Chamber Group Music Festival, which will take place from June 13 to 30 and will have various stages in the capital city and the provinces of Chiriquí, Veraguas and Coclé.

This Festival, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), will be presented in spaces such as the City of Arts, the Balboa and Anita Villalaz theaters, as well as the Moisés Bilingual School in Ciudad Radial and the Diversified Arts Baccalaureate, among others.

Party Brass, James Hansen Bassoon Ensemble, Professional Symphony Wind Orchestra of the Youth School of Music, Cerrud Quartet, Voce Opera Duo, Camerata Panamá, Classical Culture, Cantabile Ensemble, Tetracorde and Clarinon Guitars among others, are part of the groups that They will participate in the fourth Chamber Group Festival.

Among the workshops to be taught during this Festival are Breathing and sound for woodwinds, Essential fundamentals for playing the saxophone, Latin American rhythms and Basic guidelines for Orchestra Conducting where young people who are currently studying music or who belong to musical groups will participate. .     

The opening will be on July 13, at 7:00 pm at the Anita Villalaz Theater, with a concert by the Party Brass Group, while the closing of the festival will be a group made up of Panamanians and musicians from the United States Sticks and Hammers Collective that will premiere works by: Bártok, Brescen and the Panamanian Samuel Robles.
