The orderly and democratic transition continued with the Ministry of the Presidency

The Minister of the Presidency, José Simpson Polo, and the minister designated for that branch, Juan Carlos Orillac, led this third transition meeting for the change of Government.


The Minister of the Presidency, José Simpson Polo, and the designated Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, led this morning the third transition meeting for the orderly, transparent and exemplary change of Government between the outgoing administration of President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen , and the incoming president-elect, José Raúl Mulino.

At the meeting, held at the Presidency of the Republic, Minister Simpson was accompanied by the Vice Minister, Carlos García, and the heads of the directorates and agencies attached to this Ministry.

For his part, the incoming Minister of the Presidency was accompanied by the designated vice minister, Virna Luque, and the next heads of some departments of the Ministry.

Minister Simpson and Vice Minister García presented a detailed presentation to the designated Minister of the Presidency on each of the projects and programs, as well as the progress of execution in their financial and physical aspects.

Simpson reiterated the willingness to provide all information without reservations to the new designated authorities, so that they can execute public policies for the benefit of Panamanians. “Whatever your team needs, we will be open to giving you the information,” Simpson told the minister appointed by the president-elect, José Raúl Mulino.

The designated minister Juan Carlos Orillac thanked, on behalf of the president-elect, the transparent and effective transition process that is occurring in the different ministries and directorates of the Executive.
