UN Women, MIDES, Microsoft and Mastercard launch #TodasConectadas to promote the digitalization of Panamanian women entrepreneurs

Through #TodasConectadas, the nearly 500,000 entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized businesses in Panama will be able to acquire the skills, tools and knowledge they require to digitalize their businesses and increase their positive impact on the communities in which they operate.


UN Women, the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES), Microsoft and Mastercard announced today the launch of #TodasConectadas in the country, a regional platform that seeks to support women entrepreneurs to successfully transition to the digital economy and enjoy its benefits.

#TodasConectadas is an initiative of the Regional Alliance for the Digitalization of Women in Latin America and the Caribbean, which was born within the framework of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean, under the leadership of UN Women, Microsoft, Mastercard and Eidos Global. In Panama, the launch and positioning of the platform will have the support of the Ministry of Social Development, in line with its commitment to promote gender equality and inclusive economic development in the country.


“The launch of #TodasConectadas in Panama is a great step to provide Panamanian women with opportunities for learning, connection and economic development. This joint initiative seeks to close both the digital and economic gaps that women face; bringing them closer to valuable information and growth tools for their ventures.

Through #TodasConectadas, the nearly 500,000 entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized businesses in Panama will be able to acquire the skills, tools and knowledge they require to digitalize their businesses and increase their positive impact on the communities in which they operate.

The training materials available on the platform, in addition to being online, can be accessed and taken 100% free. In addition, they are designed so that they can be consulted with all types of bandwidth—even in places with little internet connection—and from any device, which will allow women from all corners of Panamanian territory to be reached.
