PASSPORTS OPENS NEW HEADQUARTERS IN TOCUMEN AIRPORT

The Passport Authority of Panama (APAP) inaugurated a new regional headquarters in Terminal 1 of the Tocumen International Airport. The office will be open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


The Panama Passport Authority (APAP), inaugurated this Monday, June 17, 2024, a new regional headquarters in Terminal 1 of the Tocumen International Airport.  The office will be open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

With this regional headquarters, the Panama Passport Authority adds nine regional offices nationwide: Central Panama, Colón, Panama Oeste, Coclé, Herrera, Veraguas, Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro.

The general administrator in charge Julián López Lombardo, indicated that with this new regional the aim is to reach more families, saving them time and financial resources when applying for their passport.

“This also means continuing to modernize in technological matters, making care more effective and issuing a secure passport, like ours, which maintains more than 120 security measures and so on; It is positioned worldwide,” he said.

For his part, the general manager of Tocumen Raffoul Arab highlighted that “the opening of this office represents a significant advance, because, in addition to facilitating the process for residents of the Eastern area of ??the capital city, it will also be very useful for crew members, concessionaires , contractors and airport staff.”

He added that just as was done with the opening of the Metro station, the duty of bringing public services closer to the people is being fulfilled, improving the travel experience.

So far this year, APAP has processed more than 67,930 passports, with an income of more than B/.6.1 million.
